Panoramica
Claude Code Action connects repository events and prompts to Claude Code’s tools. Workflows can respond to @claude mentions in issues or pull requests, or run an explicit automation prompt for reviews and maintenance. Execution takes place on the GitHub runner, while model requests go to the configured provider. Teams already using GitHub Actions can begin with code explanations and reviews before enabling scoped modifications.

Requisiti, installazione e avvio rapido
2. Direct Anthropic API users can run /install-github-app in Claude Code and follow the setup.
3. For manual setup, consult docs/setup.md and examples/claude.yml.
4. Store required credentials in Actions secrets and configure the documented workflow permissions.
5. Use anthropics/claude-code-action@v1 with the appropriate prompt or claude_args.
6. Start with a review on a test PR, inspect the logs and result, then enable modification workflows as needed.
Utilizzo
Implementation notes
Triggers, tools and permissions determine what the automation can change. Follow the upstream event and permission guidance for external pull requests, keeping credentials away from untrusted workflow execution.
Compatibilità del modello e casi d'uso
Requires a GitHub Actions runner, repository permissions and working model authentication. Cloud-provider setup differs. Runner charges and model usage belong to their respective services; installing the open-source action does not include model credits.
