Meta adds Spaces to Muse, turning a description into a custom tracker or planner

Meta introduced Spaces in its Muse app on November 6. You describe what you want, and Muse builds it as a custom area inside the app: a holiday gift tracker, a daily word game or a planning board for a DIY project. Meta says spaces are available everywhere Muse is available, starting the day of the announcement. Muse’s availability page lists the United States and Canada for people aged 18 and over, and Meta launched Muse in Singapore on October 27.

What changes

  • Built from a description. Muse creates a first version from your idea. You can then add missing pieces, change the look or adjust how it works.
  • Your own layout. Spaces can go in the sidebar or the main tabs. You can move them, hide them and schedule when they appear. Meta’s example is a weekly planner during the workweek that gives way to weekend plans on Saturday.
  • Background updates. After you connect the apps you use, a space can refresh on its own with new concert dates, price changes or savings progress. Items you check off, notes and edits stay in place for your next visit.
  • Personal for now. Spaces are private to you. Meta says it is exploring ways to share them for collaboration, but that is not available yet.

Meta’s list of ideas includes a shopping hub, a school dashboard, a music tracker, a wedding planner, a trivia game, a podcast studio, a small-business order tracker, a freelance client hub and a trip planner. The announcement does not mention pricing. The launch follows Muse Voice, which TechCrunch reported a day earlier.

What it means for users

Repeated requests, such as following one product’s price or keeping a wedding checklist, usually mean restating the context in each chat. A space keeps that task on its own page, so you can return to it the next day. It works more like a small tool you set up once than a single answer.

Two practical points. Background updates depend on the apps you connect, so review what Muse can read before linking an account. Availability has not changed: Muse is offered in the United States, Canada and Singapore, so elsewhere the feature will not appear even though it has been announced.
