THE BIG PICTURE

About SpotScribe

SpotScribe is a browser-based transcription service centered on converting Spotify podcast episodes into written transcripts. Users can paste an episode link, process it, and work with the resulting text through AI-generated summaries, episode-specific chat, copying, and file exports. The homepage also presents options for Apple Podcasts, Open Podcasts, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Vimeo, and uploaded audio or video.

Paid subscriptions provide monthly credits, longer per-item duration limits, more file storage, speaker diarization, transcript translation, and a Precise Mode. SpotScribe also offers a separate Spotify song tool that retrieves lyrics available for a track and exports them as TXT or time-synchronized LRC files. The podcast/video service and song-lyrics extractor have different pricing and limitations, so users should select the workflow that matches their source material.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

A toolkit worth exploring

Get to know the capabilities. Find your own way to use them.

Podcast and video transcription

Convert supported podcast episodes and videos into complete text transcripts. SpotScribe focuses on Spotify podcasts while also presenting Apple Podcasts, Open Podcasts, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Vimeo, and direct audio/video uploads as source options.

AI-generated episode summaries

Generate concise podcast summaries that surface main topics and key points, providing a faster way to review an episode before working through its full transcript.

Interactive episode chat

Ask questions about a processed podcast episode and receive answers based on its content. This can help users locate relevant material without manually reviewing the entire transcript.

Copy and multi-format export

Copy selected passages or complete transcripts and export podcast results as PDF, DOCX, SRT, or TXT files. The dedicated Spotify lyrics tool additionally supports TXT and time-synchronized LRC downloads.

Speaker diarization

Paid plans include speaker diarization, which can help separate speakers in interviews, discussions, and other recordings involving multiple participants.

Transcript translation

Paid plans include transcript translation into more than 100 languages. This translation feature is distinct from transcription-language coverage, for which the podcast FAQ names a smaller set of major supported languages.

Precise transcription mode

Paid subscriptions include a Precise Mode presented as an alternative for users with more demanding transcription-accuracy needs.

Spotify song lyric extraction

A separate SpotScribe workflow accepts a Spotify track link and retrieves available lyrics for copying or downloading as TXT or LRC files, with timestamps for synchronized lyrics.

MADE FOR YOUR WORKFLOW

Where it fits into your day

USE CASE 01

Research and study notes

Students and researchers can read episode transcripts, identify relevant passages, and transfer selected quotations into notes. Important wording should still be checked against the original audio before formal citation.

USE CASE 02

Content repurposing preparation

Podcast hosts and content teams can use transcripts and summaries to prepare drafts for show notes, newsletters, blog posts, or social updates, subject to applicable content rights and editorial review.

USE CASE 03

Efficient professional review

Professionals can review or question an episode transcript to locate relevant discussions without replaying the entire recording, then copy or export the material for reference.

USE CASE 04

Language and lyric study

Learners can follow written podcast text while listening or use the separate Spotify track tool to save available lyrics for vocabulary, pronunciation, translation, or songwriting analysis.

YOUR FIRST STEPS

From first click to first result

Try it on the official website
  1. Copy the source URL

Open the desired Spotify podcast episode and copy its episode URL. For the separate lyrics workflow, copy a Spotify song URL from the track's share menu.

  2. Paste the URL into SpotScribe

Place the URL in the relevant SpotScribe generator. Start podcast processing with the Transcribe action or use Extract for a Spotify song.

  3. Review the generated text

Read the transcript or lyrics and check important passages against the original recording when accuracy is critical.

  4. Use or export the result

For podcast content, use the available summary or episode chat, copy passages, or export to a supported file format. Song lyrics can be copied or downloaded as TXT or LRC files.
