Perplexity’s October 19 release adds an Ultrafast option for GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol in Computer on the web. It is available to Max subscribers and consumes more credits than Normal or Fast.
The same release lets administrators on sales-assisted Enterprise plans restrict individual connectors by role. Existing access stays unchanged until an administrator edits it; new connectors can start disabled, and access changes appear in audit logs.
Why it matters
Faster response and broader data access are separate decisions. Teams can reserve the faster setting for time-sensitive work while granting each role only the connectors its job actually needs.
