Notion now documents a beta connection that lets Notion Agent and Custom Agents search, read, create and update Google Drive files. The connection checks Drive live rather than indexing its contents in Notion.
Access follows the connected account. Limited access restricts editing to files the agent created or the user selected; full access follows the user’s existing Drive permissions. Workspace membership and enabled Notion AI are required, and administrators may need to approve the connection.
Why it matters
For teams maintaining briefs across two services, the useful change is fewer copy-and-paste handoffs. A sensible first workflow is updating one explicitly selected report; broad write access should follow a successful small trial.
