There is no reliable “anti-ban trick.” Start by distinguishing your account, usage limits, and the rules for using Claude.
Running out of usage is not the same as an account suspension
Opus is a Claude model family, not a separate account. Usage across Claude on the web, Claude Code, and Claude Desktop can count toward the same account limits. Long conversations, complex tasks, and model choice can all affect how quickly you use your allowance.
Check the notice and your account’s usage page. Wait for the displayed reset time or follow your plan’s current limits; a temporary limit does not by itself mean your account has been banned. Official usage-limit guidance.
Three habits that help keep your account in good standing
- Use your own account. Do not share personal logins or API credentials, or buy shared accounts.
- Keep account details accurate. Use supported access locations and valid billing information.
- Follow the usage rules. Do not create or rotate accounts to evade a restriction or suspension.
These are basic compliance practices; they cannot guarantee that an account will never be restricted. Consumer Terms, Usage Policy, and supported regions.
If your account is actually suspended
Keep the notice, date, and exact error details. If you think the decision is mistaken, sign in to the original account and use Anthropic’s official appeal process. Avoid sharing passwords or authentication screenshots with anyone offering to “unban” the account.
An appeal is a request for review, not a guaranteed restoration. Official safeguards and appeals guidance.
This short guide summarizes official sources; it does not promise a way to avoid every restriction or guarantee an appeal outcome. Sources checked: 2026-10-09.
