Event date: 2026-11-02
Atlassian made Agentic Pipelines generally available across paid Bitbucket Cloud plans on November 2. Agents can run on cloud runners or self-hosted Linux Docker runners on x86_64 and arm64.
The workflow can assign routine engineering tasks such as investigating failed tests or updating documentation. Claude and Codex are supported providers. Windows and macOS runner support remains planned; Atlassian’s example of a failing test ends with a proposed fix opened for review.
Why it matters
The interesting shift is putting agent work where failures already occur. Start with one bounded job, retain normal review gates and compare time saved against reruns and model usage.
