Why choose Warp AI?
Main Features & Characteristics
AI Command Suggestions: Type '#' on the command line and start describing the command you want to run using natural language. Warp will load AI Command Suggestions as you type, solving the "What's the right command, again?" problem.
Error Explanation & Fix: Right-click and 'Ask Warp AI' to explain any error in your command output. Warp AI can demystify opaque error messages and identify missing dependencies. No need to copy/paste error code into Stack Overflow.
Step-by-Step Workflow Guidance: From new tool setups to complex database migrations, Warp AI can walk you through your programming workflows, step by step, answering "How do I accomplish this?".
Full Terminal Integration: Way more than a ChatGPT bolt-on or an isolated CLI tool, Warp AI is fully integrated throughout the terminal interface to save time wherever you are working.
Model Selection: Built-in support for Claude 3.5 Sonnet and Haiku, as well as GPT-4o. While Warp defaults to Sonnet, users can select the model that works best for their needs. Enterprise customers can even bring their own LLM.
Reusable Workflows: Warp lets you save your most important workflows in Warp Drive to run on-demand or share with your team. Warp AI handles the hard part of naming, describing, and parameterizing the command (Autofill).
IDE-style Editor: Write with an IDE-style editor, easily navigate through output, save commands to reuse later, ask Warp AI to explain or debug, customize keybindings and launch configs, and pick from preloaded themes or design your own.
Core Advantages
- Get unblocked without leaving your command line: Get AI support directly within the terminal.
- Data Privacy & Security: Warp does not allow OpenAI or Anthropic to use your data for model training. Terminal input and output data is never stored on Warp servers. Any data entered for Warp AI interactions, including AI command suggestions, gets passed directly to OpenAI or Anthropic APIs without Warp interference.
Pricing & Payment Model
- Warp AI is free to use up to 100 requests per user per month.
- Upgrade to a Pro or Team plan to unlock higher Warp AI request limits.
- Enterprise plan features a Zero Data Retention policy: Instead of retaining data for 30 days by default for trust and security reasons, OpenAI and Anthropic will not retain any data for any period of time for users on Warp Enterprise.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- How much does Warp AI cost? Free to use up to 100 requests per user per month. Upgrade to Pro or Team plan for higher limits.

- What does Zero Data Retention mean on Enterprise? Partners will not retain any data for any period of time for Enterprise users. Data is never used for training on Free and Team plans either.
