slAItor is an AI translation assistant that combines recent advances in AI, such as GPT, with standard machine translation technologies, going beyond the basics to revolutionize the translation experience.

1. Step-by-step translation & explanation: Can explain a translation step-by-step and with details, useful for learning or improving language understanding.
2. 5 translation alternatives: The paraphraser and style calibrator provide 5 alternatives to adapt translations to numerous contexts.

1. Preprocessing: Normalizes, tokenizes, and splits the text, packing it into a prompt for the AI engine (relies on open-source projects like preprocess, sacremoses, and Pytorch).
2. AI engine processing: Mainly exploits models from the GPT family by OpenAI.
3. Postprocessing and delivery: Checks and formats the answer.
4. Evaluation: Continuously monitors performance using in-house datasets, public benchmarks, the state-of-the-art automatic metric COMET, and human evaluators.

Target Users: Translators, students, and commercial users needing high-quality, multi-style translations and language learning.

Pricing & Billing Model:

• Subscription: $25/month.
• Credits: 800 credits/month, enough to translate hundreds of thousands of words (or 10,000 credits/year for a yearly subscription).
• Credit consumption rules: Translating 1,000 characters costs 1 credit; cost is tripled to 3 credits for step-by-step translations and checker mode; minimum cost per query is 0.1 credit. Credits are debited upon pressing 'translate' or 'Check' and are non-refundable if stopped midway.
• Refund policy: Refunds granted without questions if less than 14 days have passed since the last billing for a monthly plan, or 1 month for a yearly plan; also refunded based on credits already used.
